What is The Holiday Market?
The Holiday Market at Kaweah Oaks Preserve is a European-inspired seasonal market featuring artisan makers, food vendors, children's activities, festive entertainment, and Train Rides through the beloved preserve. All proceeds support Sequoia Riverlands Trust's conservation work. -
Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
We recommend buying tickets online to secure your spot and time. Tickets will also be available at the door.Are tickets refundable?
No. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.Why do I have to choose a time slot?
Time slots help us manage crowd size so everyone has a good experience. Please arrive no more than 45 minutes before your reserved entry window, and once you're in, stay as long as you'd like.Is my entry time also my Train Ride time?
No, these are two different things. The time slot you choose when you buy your ticket is just your entry time. If you have a Full Access ticket, your Train Ride departure time is assigned separately when you check in at the gate on a first come, first served basis.What time do the gates open?
Gates open at 4:00 PM nightly. To ensure the best experience for guests, vendors, and staff, there's no early entry before 4:00 PM.What is included in my ticket?
Admission includes access to the market, live entertainment, holiday displays, photo spots, the Santa photo area and letter-writing station, and some children's activities (a few rides/activities carry an additional fee).Full Access tickets also include a Train Ride through parts of Kaweah Oaks Preserve, lit up for the holidays, with a guide along the way.
What is not included in my ticket?
Food, beverages, bounce houses, additional rides, s'mores, and artisan goods are not included in admission. A wide variety of vendors will have items available for purchase. -
Will Santa be there?
Yes! This year's Market features a Santa photo area, plus a letter-writing station and mailbox to the North Pole for kids and kids at heart to send their holiday wishes. -
Best time to visit?
Sunset falls around 4:45 PM during Market weekend. Arrive before then and you'll catch "golden hour" light, though the full lighting displays are best appreciated after dark.When do the gates open?
4:00 PM. There is no early entry.Why is there timed entry?
Timed entry helps manage traffic flow and keeps the experience enjoyable for everyone. Please arrive no more than 45 minutes before your reserved time, and feel free to stay as long as you like once you're in. -
Is the event accessible?
The site is generally accessible, though paths and driveways are unpaved and may be uneven in spots. Train Rides are wheelchair-friendly.Will there be seating and tables?
Yes. There's seating in the food court area, plus some additional seating around the market. Guests should still plan for some walking and standing.What should I wear?
This is an outdoor event in December. Dress warmly and wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes suited to uneven ground. -
Can I bring my pet?
No. For the safety of wildlife, visitors, and pets alike, pets are not allowed during the event (the preserve does welcome pets outside of Market hours).Can I bring outside food or drinks?
No. Outside food and beverages (except water) aren't permitted. A variety of festive food and drinks will be available for purchase inside the market.Is smoking or vaping allowed?
No. The preserve is a smoke-free, vape-free environment.Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Each person needs their own ticket. Offensive language or conduct will not be tolerated.

Free parking is available on-site. Follow posted signage and volunteer instructions when you arrive.Is there a cost for parking?

How do I become a vendor?
Vendor coordination for 2026 is managed by our partner, It's A Neighborhood Thing (INT). If you're interested in a booth, apply through INT here. -
Can I Volunteer?
Yes! The Holiday Market is primarily run by volunteers who give generously of their time. Fill out our volunteer application here. We'd love to have you on the team. -
Where do the proceeds go?
All proceeds benefit Sequoia Riverlands Trust, helping protect the lands, waters, and wildlife of the southern Sierra Nevada and San Joaquin Valley.
