  • What is The Holiday Market?
    The Holiday Market at Kaweah Oaks Preserve is a European-style seasonal market featuring artisan makers, food vendors, children’s activities, festive entertainment, and hayrides through the beloved Preserve. All proceeds support Sequoia Riverlands Trust’s conservation work.

  • Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
    We recommend buying tickets online to secure your spot. A limited number of tickets may be available at the window if not sold out.

    Are tickets refundable?
    No. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

    Why do I have to choose a time slot?
    Time slots help us manage crowd sizes so that everyone has an enjoyable experience at the market. Please arrive no more than 45 minutes prior to your reserved entry window.

    What time do the gates open?
    The gates open at 4 pm nightly. In order to ensure the best experience for guests, visitors, vendors, and contractors, there is no early entry before 4 pm.

    What is included in my ticket?
    Your admission includes access to the market, live entertainment, holiday displays, Instagrammable photo spots, and some children’s activities (some children’s activities/rides have an additional fee).

    **Full Access Tickets also include an extraordinary hayride through parts of Kaweah Oaks Preserve, uniquely lit up for the holidays with beautiful displays and a fantastic tour guide!

    What is not included in my ticket?
    Food, beverages, bounce houses, rides, s’mores, and artisan goods are not included in the admission fee. A wide variety of local vendors will have items available for purchase.

  • Best time to visit?
    The sunset is around 4:45 pm on the weekend of The Holiday Market. When arriving before 4:45 pm, you will experience the “golden hour”, but may not see the full effect of the lighting effects.

    When do the Gates Open?
    The gates open at 4:00 pm. There is no early entry.

    Why is there Timed Entry?
    Timed entry is in place to help with the flow of traffic and ensure a good experience for all guests. Please arrive no more than 45 minutes before your timed entry time.

  • Is the event accessible?
    The site is generally accessible, but please note that paths and driveways are not paved and may be uneven in spots. Hayrides are not wheelchair-friendly.

    Will there be seating & tables?
    There will be some seating areas throughout the market, but guests are encouraged to plan for walking and standing.

    What should I wear?
    This is an outdoor event in December—dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes suitable for uneven ground.

  • Can I bring my pet?
    No. For the safety of wildlife, visitors, and your furry friends, pets are not allowed at the event. (Please note that the preserve welcomes pets, just not during this event)

    Can I bring outside food or drinks?
    No. Outside food and beverages are not permitted. A variety of festive foods and drinks will be available for purchase inside the market.

    Is smoking or vaping allowed?
    No. The Preserve is a smoke-free and vape-free environment.


    Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult

    Each person must have their own ticket. 

    Offensive language & conduct will not be tolerated.

  • Where do I park?
    Free parking is available on-site. Please follow signage and volunteer instructions when you arrive.

    Is there a cost for parking?
    No. Parking is free with your admission ticket.

  • When is the Holiday Market?
    December 5, 6, and 7, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 9:30 PM.

    Where is the event held?
    Kaweah Oaks Preserve, just east of Visalia, CA.

    What can I expect at the market?
    A magical evening with artisan vendors, local food and drink, children’s activities, live festive entertainment, and a hayride through the Preserve.

  • Yes!
    The Holiday Market is primarily run by volunteers who give of their time generously. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out our volunteer application. We’d love to have you on the team.

  • Where do the proceeds go?
    All proceeds benefit Sequoia Riverlands Trust, helping protect the lands, waters, and wildlife of the southern Sierra Nevada and San Joaquin Valley.
